Contents: The collection includes correspondence, scrapbooks, diaries, financial records, and an appraisal of furnishings and book of photographs of Rockwood Hall, his home in Westchester County, New York. Most of the material is of a personal nature and relates to the William Rockefeller family over four generations. See also two volumes of William Rockefeller correspondence, 1871-1896, in the letterbooks in the John D. Rockefeller Papers.

Biography: William Rockefeller (1841-1922) was the brother of John D. Rockefeller, joining him in the oil business in 1866 and becoming president of Standard Oil of New York in 1882.
